How does a siphon brewer work?

The Siphon works by heating and cooling the water gases (vapor) from the lower vessel (carafe chamber) to the upper vessel (infusion chamber) and back again as brewed coffee to the carafe chamber.

Does hotter water make stronger coffee?

It does make stronger coffee but loses some of the flavour and quality. It can result in a bitter burned taste.

Is siphon coffee less acidic?

Due to a siphon using steam rather than boiling water to brew, the coffee grounds reach a lower brew temperature – around 200° Fahrenheit or 93° Celsius. Brewing with steam has the benefit of releasing all of the essential oils of the coffee bean, again, resulting in a smoother, well rounded cup of coffee.

Is siphon coffee filtered?

Siphon coffee is not filtered as such. It uses vacuum pressure to brew the coffee. It is not the same as traditional filtered coffee.

hi will a Rekrow Syphon Burner (8cm tall) fit under this syphon?

Hi Matt, there is roughly 9.5 - 10cm space under the syphon brewer so this should work absolutely fine.
