Festive Coffee Cocktails

Tis the season to overindulge! And after this year, I think it’s safe to say we all deserve to... sensibly ofcourse. With Christmas parties totally off the cards, don’t let that stop you getting your caffeinated cocktail fix. We have put together a cocktail menu for all things coffee & Christmas, that you can enjoy from the comforts of your own home.

Irish coffee

A staple and festive favourite! Brew a delicious Sourced Coffee using your favourite blend and pour into your pre-warmed glass so it’s about ¾’s full.  Add 2 tea spoons of brown sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Add your shot of Irish whiskey into the mixture and again stir thoroughly. Lightly whip your cream and very gently pour the cream over the back of a spoon into the drink. You could always jazz it up even further by add a sprinkle of ground nutmeg on top.

Espresso Martini

Totally iconic Espresso Martini… shaken not stirred of course! In a Cocktail shaker add ice, Kahlua, Vodka and a shot of Sourced espresso coffee. Shake vigorously and strain into a Martini glass.

Christmas Paradise

For those with a sweet tooth, this cocktail is sure to hit the spot. Take a tall glass and add 6oz’s of Sourced cold coffee or iced coffee. Add a shot of spiced rum and of butterscotch schnapps or Simply Butterscotch syrup. Mix in a little cream and a sugar to add sweetness. Stir everything together and add a little ice.

Caramel Bourbon Coffee

Rich and smooth, this drink is a real treat. In a mixing bowl, combine whipping cream, simply caramel syrup, 2 tablespoons of vanilla and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Add a shot of Bourbon into your Fresh brewed Sourced black Coffee. Then add a good measure into the Coffee cup of the combined whipping cream and caramel syrup mixture and stir together. Then complete the drink by topping with Whipped cream.

Amaretto Coffee

Perfect drink to accompany those Christmas nibbles. Pre-warm your glass and add a shot of both Cognac and Amaretto. Then fill the glass with your freshly brewed Sourced black Coffee. Top the drink with whipped cream and shaved almonds. For a booze free alternative, just add two shots of Sweetbird Amaretto Syrup to your coffee, top with whipped cream.
